COURSES & WORKSHOPS 

At Cinnamon Square we are passionate about baking and are keen to educate both adults and children alike.  It is our desire to share knowledge and information with our customers and visitors.  A range of courses and workshop have been devised by our master baker to suit all baking enthusiasts.  
The schedule includes the popular Introductory Bread Making Course and new courses, such as, Patisserie for Beginners. 

These courses are fully inclusive and everything you make, is yours to take home.  We run the courses in small groups to ensure you receive maximum attention.  The courses take place in Cinnamon Square's own scientific baking laboratory, the 'Makery.'  This dedicated area is where all our fantastic products are made for the shop and where research and development takes place.

Introductory Bread Making Course

Thursday 25th September – 16.30 to 21.30
Thursday 6th November – 16.30 to 21.30

£99 per person (incl. vat)

The course takes you through a variety of processes; bread machine, bulk fermentation, sponge & dough and chemically oxidised dough.  From these very different methods you can produce a range of products from traditional English and sourdough breads.

Ingredient functionality and their interaction within the baking process are explained with the use of some clever props. 

Completion of the course enables you to confidently make your own bread at home.

The course includes coffee on arrival, a buffet style meal and wine.  You will also take home everything you make.

   

Patisserie for Beginners and Enthusiast


Thursday 9th October - 17.00 to 21.00
Thursday 20th November - 17.00 to 21.00

Fruit Torte

Make perfect sweet pastry which can be turned into Fruit Tarts, Frangipanes and Tart au Lemon. 

Make wonderful Crème Patisserie which can be used to fill your Chocolate Éclairs and Fruit Tarts. 

Learn how to make and use chocolate Ganache.

The course includes coffee on arrival.  You will also take home everything you make - 4 boxes full!

   

Chocolate for Beginners

Wednesday 22nd October - 17.00 to 21.00
Tuesday 25th November -
17.00 to 21.00

£85 person (incl. vat)

This course is suited to those who love chocolate.  Learn how and why we temper chocolate.  You will also enjoy making pralines, chocolate figurines and Ganache.  And naturally, plenty of opportunity for tasting! 
 

 


Italian Style Breads and Pizza

Thursday 2nd October – 16.30 to 21.30
Wednesday 12th November – 16.30 to 21.30

£99 per person (incl. vat)



The course takes you through a variety of of Italian breads including Ciabatta, Fococcia, Pizza, Ritorto, Lardo and a salt-free Tuscan bread.

The course includes coffee on arrival, a buffet style meal and wine, with an Italian twist!  You will also take home everything you make.

Chocolate Making

This course is suited to kids who love chocolate (probably all of them!).  Learn how and why we temper chocolate.  You will also enjoy making chocolate figurines and Ganache.  And naturally, plenty of opportunity for tasting!

Children will make bread, pizzas, cookies, jam tarts and real traditional custard.  The children take home everything they make, plus recipes to try them again at home.


Halloween B
aking Course

Tuesday 28th October - 15.00 to 17.00

£25 per person (incl. vat)


Children will make some really scary creepy crawly chocolate spider cakes, frightening pizzas, blood red jam tarts and real traditional custard (but in slime green!).
